Al Jones, PT, OCS, Cert MDT, CSCS (pictured with Therapy Dog, Harry) has been a physical therapist since 1973. In 1970, he graduated from California Lutheran College where he studied and received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Al also quarterbacked the CLC football team to a top 10 national ranking in NAIA Division III.

He attended Cal State University Long Beach where he studied post-graduate in athletic training and exercise science, all while waiting to be accepted for physical therapy school at CSULB.

Al received his Certificate of Physical Therapy in 1973, which was awarded to those students who had already earned baccalaureate degrees in another field of study from a four-year institution other than CSULB. He has been a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist since 1994 and holds certification in the internationally respected Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment Method known as the McKenzie Method. He also holds certifications in Active Release Technique (ART) and ASTYM.

For 46 years in his profession, Al has treated orthopedic and sports injuries in California and in Idaho. Over the years, Al has maintained a strong commitment to self-improvement through continuing education, life-long learning and international studies.

He was invited to be a physical therapist at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. He was also instrumental in setting up athletic training facilities for high schools in Orange County and in Northern San Diego with former Los Angeles Lakers head trainer, Del Tanner.

His physical therapy philosophy is simple and effective: "Do unto others, as you would have done to you."

He lives with his wife Michelle here in Boise and has an adopted special needs son who is doing well. His son is the reason he sold his practice in San Diego in 1999, and moved to Boise, ID.

Al has a special passion for helping athletes, active people over 40 years old and especially injured golfers. He has earned a Level 3 Medical Professional Certification offered by the highly respected Titleist Performance Institute Program in Oceanside.
